Titanic Hotel Belfast has been accredited with “WE’RE GOOD TO GO” - the UK Tourism Standard that certifies that we have clear processes in place and are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance on cleanliness and social distancing.

Arrival, Departure

We have implemented a one way system throughout the public areas of the hotel, that starts with a hand sanitiser unit to make sure guests clean their hands as they arrive at the hotel.

We have eliminated the use of registration cards at check-in, in order to reduce the amount of paper exchange at the hotel. We are trying to do pre-authorisation of all credit cards the night before and we are going to move to an online check-in platform whenever our property management system makes it available to hotels across the island of Ireland and the UK.

During the check-out process we don’t handle the keys anymore; they are dropped into a secure box instead and then they are sterilised for the next guest coming.

In room

We have implemented new processes in our guestrooms also, which include the removal of certain items, chemical fogging, sanitising, etc. We have removed all porcelain cups and are now using disposable compostable cups. After every check-out we chemically fog the room to ensure that it is sterile for the next customer that is coming in.

Every hotel in Belfast would have a copy of the Bible, but this has had to be removed, unfortunately. Instead we have an amazing pressreader app available to all guests at the hotel. The app gives access to newspapers, magazines and publications, including the Bible, from all over the world free of charge during their stay.

Finally, whenever we know that the room is ready for our next customer, we put a seal on the door and that certifies that the room has been cleaned and sanitised. It just gives a final bit of reassurance to our customers that they are walking into a hygienic room and one that is going to be free of covid-19.

Dining

We are operating a full social distancing policy in all food & beverage outlets. Therefore, all tables at The Drawing Office Two, the hotel’s main bar, are at least one metre apart from each other. In accordance with current government guidelines, beverage can only be sold as long as there’s a substantial meal as part of service.

To take advantage of the facilities of Drawing Office Two, you do now have to make a reservation; please contact our team to book. Whenever you arrive we will provide table service and you will be handled a menu that is single use, to make sure it hasn’t been touched by any other guests.

We have also implemented social distancing measures at the Wolff Grill, only slightly different because of the fine dining element service. We now have a service table beside each one of our dining tables, which allows the server to come to the table with their tray and explain to the diners what is on the plate, while maintaining social distance.

Please note that we are doing reservations for breakfast, contact our team to book. We have eliminated our breakfast buffet because it is an area of potential contamination and we have introduced a continental buffet box and then we take your hot food order. We have found that this is the best way to ensure that our guests enjoy the Titanic breakfast that we have become known for.
