The Drawing Offices and half a dozen key heritage rooms within the hotel are open to public tours (subject to availability) providing an opportunity to view the artefacts, restoration works and interior decoration of this important maritime heritage building.
Highlights on the tour include access to Lord Pirrie's Office, 'The Corridor of Power', the Presentation Room, and Thomas Andrews' Office.
The hotel is grateful to the Heritage Lottery Fund and Titanic Foundation, the charity established to preserve Belfast’s maritime and industrial heritage, for providing a £5m grant towards the restoration the building.
Since 2012, Titanic Foundation has worked in partnership with Titanic Quarter Limited, an associate company of Harcourt Developments, on this project.
The charity engaged with multiple stakeholders including former Harland & Wolff employees and successfully secured Heritage Lottery funding of £5m.
The contribution of public money supported the expert conservation and interpretation of the Drawing Offices and heritage features of the building, ensuring a high level of public access to these areas for the future.
