The hotel is grateful to the Heritage Lottery Fund and Titanic Foundation, the charity established to preserve Belfast’s maritime and industrial heritage, for providing a £5m grant towards the restoration of the building.

Since 2012, Titanic Foundation has worked in partnership with Titanic Quarter Limited, an associate company of Harcourt Developments, on this project.
The charity engaged with multiple stakeholders including former Harland & Wolff employees and successfully secured Heritage Lottery funding of £5m.

The contribution of public money supported the expert conservation and interpretation of the Drawing Offices and heritage features of the building, ensuring a high level of public access to these areas for the future.
