PRIDE

Belfast’s annual Pride Festival returns to the city, from 26th July to 4th August! The ten-day festival is the largest of its kind in the island of Ireland and runs over 100 events across 10 days in a celebration of the LGBT+ community. 

The big parade is undoubtedly the most anticipated event of Belfast Pride – it attracted over 55.000 people last year and they are expecting even more in 2019! It will take place on Saturday 3rd August at 1.00pm, starting at Custom House Square.

CULTURE

Belfast and Northern Ireland are home to most of Game of Thrones’ filming locations – a must-see for any Game of Thrones enthusiast! Fans can discover more of their favourite show at TEC Belfast, where GAME OF THRONES: The Touring Exhibition will be open until 11th September. Ulster Museum has a stunning tapestry on display depicting key scenes from every episode of hit TV show – not to be missed!

If you are feeling cultured and want to enjoy this stunning sunshine, join one of the many historical tours available in the city! Another great way to learn more about Ulster’s heritage is joining the thousands of locals as they celebrate The Twelfth, the biggest annual festival in Northern Ireland. The celebrations feature big parades which marching bands, fife and drums, flutes, etc. The Twelfth refers to the 12th of July, a Public Holiday in Northern Ireland.
