Is May the best month of the year? We think it may be (no pun intended). What? You disagree? Bank Holidays, that is all we are saying. May brings not one, but two bank holidays (Beat that, August). Not convinced yet? Let us show you why May is indeed the best month of the year and Belfast the best city to spend it.

BELFAST MARITIME FESTIVAL

So many thrilling events take place throughout the city this month. One to get very excited about is the Belfast Maritime Festival, which returns to Titanic Quarter from 25th to 27th May. Get ready to enjoy a great sample of maritime-themed family fun, take in the sights of the tall ships docked at Queen’s Quay and hop aboard some magnificent vessels. Get a taste of the sea at Titanic Hotel Belfast with our famous Shipyard Chowder!

One of the highlights of the Belfast Maritime Festival are the evening performances of Jimmy Ellis: Home Again, an auto-biographical reflection of the late actor’s family home and life, working at the docks during his childhood in East Belfast. The performances will take place at 7pm on Saturday 25th May and Sunday 26th May.

Enjoy the Jimmy Ellis Maritime Experience to the fullest with Titanic Hotel Belfast’s exclusive offer: an overnight stay in an Executive Room, complimentary car parking for 24 hours, tickets to Titanic Belfast and tickets to the Jimmy Ellis: Home Again show In the Andrews Gallery for only £190 per room. WESTLIFE. ARE. BACK.

Westlife are back together (yes, this is not a drill. Only for this, May 2019 should be named best month of the century). The boy band is touring the UK and Ireland for the first time in over seven years, kicking off their Twenty Tour in Belfast on 22nd May. They are performing at the SSE Arena five nights – all sold out.

Titanic Hotel Belfast offers a great dining option for those looking to have a bite before the show. Our SSE pre-show menu includes 2 courses for £23.50 pp or 3 courses for £28.50 pp at the Wolff Grill. For further information and to book please contact dining@titanichotelbelfast.com

For those who are looking to make the most of their Game of Thrones® experience in Northern Ireland, Titanic Hotel Belfast has an offer available that includes overnight stay for two people, full Irish breakfast, one complimentary car parking space for 24 hours and, of course, two tickets to Game of Thrones™: The Touring Exhibition from only £149 per room. In addition, you can ‘defeat’ a Night King Sour, our May cocktail of the month, at Titanic Hotel’s Drawing Office. A delicious cocktail created by our expert team of mixologists in homage to the popular tv series.

We think we have made our case – May is definitely the best month of the year. Not sure yet? Just look out. It's sunny, and days are longer and brighter. What’s not to love?
