Belfast Pride Parade
Belfast is preparing for one of the most anticipated festivals of the year, Belfast Pride! As Ireland’s largest event of its kind, Belfast Pride attracts thousands to the city every year thanks to its diverse calendar of activities, which includes films, debates, comedy shows and, of course, the greatly awaited Pride Parade. With so much to do and to see, you might feel a bit overwhelmed but don’t worry; Titanic Hotel Belfast is here to guide and inspire you with our top must do list for Belfast Pride.

Visit the Pride Village

Belfast Pride takes place from 27th July to 4th August the Pride Village is open throughout the festival. Located by the Big Fish, this space hosts a plethora of festival fun and food across various stalls, as well as family-friendly entertainment with bouncy castles, music and some chill out spaces to relax.

The Parade

The Parade is undoubtedly the most anticipated event of the Pride, and will not take place until the last day, Saturday 4th August. The display has grown over the years to become the single biggest parade in the city and it is seen as a celebration for everything the festival stands for. Kicking off at 1:00 p.m. from Custom House Square, it will follow a new route to highlight all the main areas of Belfast, so it will allow you to do some sightseeing too!

Poetry with Pride

If you are fond of poetry, you will love this event. Building on the success of ‘Demand Change’ last year, Poetry with Pride highlights some of the best and brightest LGBT poets in Belfast. The event has been nominated at the GALAS (Ireland’s LGBT Awards) and takes place on Wednesday 1st August at The Mac.

Belfast City Hall

Throughout the Pride Celebrations, it is worth an evening dander to Belfast City Hall to see it lit up in dazzling colour. The historic landmark joins many others across the world and gets an optical makeover in the form of the LGBT Flag. We would definitely recommend not missing out this unique light show.

Naturally, with so many events happening over the festival you may need a place to recharge before doing it all again. Titanic Hotel Belfast has just the offer for you with our Maiden Summer package. With an overnight stay, breakfast, a two-course dinner in our Wolff Grill and free car parking from £139, we have everything you need to fully enjoy Belfast Pride.
