On Sunday 10th September, Titanic opened its doors on the site of former Harland & Wolff headquarters. Many tourists have visited the hotel since to get an authentic taste of the shipbuilding industry, the Harland & Wolff history and the legacy of the RMS Titanic that since the opening Titanic Hotel Belfast has welcomed 6,000 overnight visitors from around the world.
“Titanic Hotel is more than just a hotel”, says General Manager Adrian McNally. “It is a place to reflect on the industrial era of shipbuilding in Belfast, learn more about the Directors who governed the Harland & Wolff headquarters, and experience the splendour of the original Drawing Offices, which have been restored to their magnificent glory thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund”.
Many heritage spaces have indeed been preserved, such as the Board Room, the Directors’ lobby and offices or the telephone exchange – which received the first communication of Titanic hitting the Iceberg. And of course, the beautiful
Drawing Offices, built in the 1880s and exceptional witnesses of the creation of more than 1000 ships, including Olympic and Titanic.
Today, Drawing Office One is a unique and awe-inspiring space for conferences, awards events and weddings, seating 250 guests. The Bar and Lounge in Drawing Office Two welcomes hundreds of visitors each week for lunch, snacks, afternoon tea or a drink under the domed ceilings. The Harland Bar serves up some of the most classic and contemporary cocktails, not to mention the hotel’s own cocktails, The Drawing Office, Ms. Millvina Dean and the Titanic Bramble. The Wolff Grill, fronted by Chef Nigel Mannion, is serving the finest local produce to diners who are returning again and again to get a taste of Titanic.
Titanic Hotel Belfast has a range of varied

The hotel will continue to develop contemporary room packages that will encompass the Titanic Quarter, the city of Belfast and all that is to be experienced here. “We wanted to create a hotel that celebrated all of these attributes of the Belfast tourist industry and give local and global visitors a hub in Belfast’s thriving Titanic Quarter”, McNally concludes.
