Lord Pirrie's original office has been restored to its former Edwardian state, offering lighter, cream colours and simple, wood panelled walls, marrying period architectural features with modern artwork to create an uncluttered, spacious room with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. 

This room is a medium sized room and can accommodate up to 16 people.

Lord William James Pirrie (1847 - 1924)

William Pirrie, chairman of Harland & Wolff is the man behind the design concept of the ‘Olympic’ class liners Olympic, Titanic and Britannic.
Pirrie joined the company as a 
Premium Apprentice in the 1870s, rapidly rising through the ranks and turning Harland & Wolff into one of the largest and most important shipbuilding concerns in the world by the 1910s.
His skill at organisation was so highly regarded by the British Government that he 
was appointed Comptroller General of Merchant Shipping, in charge of all shipbuilding activities during the First World War.
