Belfast Vital is an annual music festival which takes place in Boucher Road Playing Fields. This year, the festival takes place on Monday 19th and Saturday 24th August and is headlined by Foo Fighters and Timmy Trumpet.
The band led by Dave Grohl will take the stage on the Monday, with special guests Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Hot Milk. Foo Fighters’ current live show has been described by Rolling Stone as “explosive and euphoric (…) a show of enthusiasm that has grown over decades”.
Timmy Trumpet will take over on Saturday, along with special guests Jonas Blue + Fedde Le Grand, MaRLo and Jay Pryor. The DJ and producer returns to Belfast Following his sold out Belsonic show in 2018. An award-winning and multi-platinum selling recording artist, Trumpet is considered one of the Top 100 DJs by DJ Mag.
Summer of Science
Families will enjoy a summer full of fun and science - yep, those two words can go together, thank to the amazing programme at W5! Throughout August, W5 will host a wide range of science linked, drop-in, family activities. Do not miss out on the opportunity to make a constellation viewer to help you explore the stars, design and build a working windmill, capture the wind to drive the car of the future, follow the clues through the exhibition floors to reach some treasure… and so much more!
W5 will also be welcoming the Royal Society of Chemistry as part of their celebrations around the International Year of the Periodic Table on 28th August for two lectures. Full details of this will be available closer to the time.
